2003 AQHA/APHA registered red roan/overo gelding

 by Goodbar Wrapper (v. Zippos Mr Goodbar, mv. The Invester) out of Zips Harlequin (v. Pretty Boy Zip, mv. Pine Wampy). Owned by Karin van Bekkum, Hooglanderveen - Netherlands.

In January of 2008, after a long and challenging journey Rusty arrived in the Netherlands and started his show carreer in Western Pleasure and Trail. First results were promissing and later the classes Hunter under Saddle, Halter and Western Riding were added to the list. In 2008 Rusty was World Show Qualifier Junior Trail Open (AQHA) and was honored as best Performance Gelding in Europe, winning $1000,- in the Gelding+ Program with APHA. At the European Championships for Paint Horses they won the Bronze Medail in Open Halter Geldings and Junior Trail and missed the bronze with only a few points in Junior Western Pleasure, ending on the 4rd place! This same year with AQHA Rusty was titled:

-Open International Highpoint Jr Green Western Pleasure

-Open International Highpoint Jr Green Trail

-Open International Highpoint Jr Trail Horse

 

In 2009 Rusty was European Champion Halter Gelding at the Paint EC and he earned enough points with APHA in Halter and Performance to earn the titel of APHA Champion. With AQHA we earned enough points in Green Trail and Green Western Pleasure to get promoted to only the Open classes.

In 2009 Rusty was titled:

-Open Highpoint International Sr Green Western Pleasure

-Open Highpoint International Sr Green Trail

-Open Performance Register of Merit

 

This last title opened the door for us to enter Performance HalterClasses and that was what we started doing in 2010 to try for the necessary halterpoints forthe title of AQHA Champion.

In 2010 Rusty was World Show Qualifier Open Performance Halter Gelding and won the Open Halter Register of Merit. At the Regional Experience in Luxembourgh that year we were 3rd placed Senior Trail Horse and Reserve Champion in Halter. At the end of this showseason we accumulated a total of 43,5 performance points and 11,5 halter points with AQHA and 6 Grand Champion, 2 Reserve Champion and 3 Allround Champion titels.

In 2011 Rusty was awarded with the title Open AQHA Champion. He also qualified for the World Show again as Performance Halter Gelding and won the (unofficial) German Reserve Championship title with PHCG (Paint) in Open Senior Trail, Open Senior Western Pleasure and Open Western Riding All Ages, accumulating more than 15 APHA points in just one go!

 

Also in 2011 at Euro Paint 2011 we missed the bronze medaill and were placed 4rd in Open Sr. Western Pleasure, were European Res. Champion Open Halter Gelding and European Res. Champion Open Western Riding A.A. The golden medaill was missed by only 1/2 a score point over combined scores of 5 judges!!
